Mada English Journal
Together with some English language fellows, Exxon-Mobile's financial
support, the malagasy Ministry of Education, and the US Embassy's support, the team is able
to get this new English newspaper/journal in Madagascar up and running. The first issue will be coming out in March,
and will be a weekly publication.
This newspaper will also be distributed to all the middle and high
schools in the country, to be utilized as an educational tool.
They are looking for freelance writers so as to make it more competitive,
and provide the Anglophone community, as well as Malagasies, the opportunity to write articles and read about things of interest in Madagascar in English.
Malagasy freelance writers will have a proficient level in the concerned language (of course but no wonder!) and will submit
stories about culture, economy and travel in Madagascar. But they are also open to other English speakers' contributions.
Notice that Malagasy writers, whose writings will be used, will be paid for the
articles published, but I think everyone can contribute wherever he/she is and share it with their family living on the spot.
